Herts & Essex Independence at Home aims to deliver excellent person-centred practice by putting the people we support at the heart of what we do.

We provide high quality care and support for our unique individuals with differing needs and wishes.

We aim to be leaders in specialist domiciliary outcome-focused care provision.

Herts and Essex Independence at Home are registered with the Care Quality Commission and work to the Fundamental Standards.

Services

Herts and Essex was established in 2015 with clear aims:

Management Team

John Murphy and Michele Fuller are the Directors at Herts & Essex Independence at Home and Michele is also the Registered Manager.

Both John and Michele have extensive experience working within the learning disability care sector and hold Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Care.

Managers: Herts & Essex Independence at Home employs experienced, qualified and competent Managers to ensure a well led quality service that operates seamlessly to provide the best possible outcomes for its Service Users.

The Management Team meet at least monthly to uphold consistent communications amongst the whole team and to ensure all services are running smoothly.

All of our care staff are experienced in the care sector and hold minimum Level 2 qualifications in Health and Social Care.  They are encouraged and supported through a programme of continuous professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge levels

All staff are checked with the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB)

We pride ourselves on our friendly, open, respectful and caring team.

Staff Support Team

We are committed to recruiting the best staff possible to support and enable our service users in their daily life.

We aim to attract skilled, experience and qualified staff who can bring the best quality of care and support to the people trusting us to meet their support needs.

We regularly benchmark our staff remuneration packages within the sector and with local providers and we consistently rank in the top percentile for Domiciliary Care.

Our staff our supported by House Managers and the CQC Registered Manager and they work on a rota basis across the 24 hour day to ensure Service Users have every the opportunity to live full lives as independently as possible.

Staff receive regular mandatory training and refresher courses throughout the year and are supported in exceeding the minimum standards for Care qualifications.
